H1N1 Influenza Information
Please keep yourself updated on the current outbreak as this continues. 

The best source of information is available through the Centers for Disease Control. The web address is http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu.

The Nebraska Health Department also has a web site dedicated to h1n1 information. http://www.dhhs.ne.gov/H1N1Flu

The Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department also has some information posted. http://www.lincoln.ne.gov/city/health

Remember these basic three prevention strategies to contain and limit the spread of influenza: 

Hand Hygiene after out in public, and before touching your eyes nose or mouth with your hands/fingers. 

Practice good cough etiquette. This means no coughing or sneezing into your hands. Use your sleeve/elbow area. 

If you are ill with the influenza like symptoms do not come to work or go out in public until symptoms resolve.

Symptoms of influenza are:

Fever (greater than 100°F or 37.8°C)
Sore throat
Cough
Chills
Headache
Body aches
Tiredness/fatigue
Diarrhea and Vomiting have also been reported in some H1N1 flu cases
